Mandana Karimi and Re Delle Gandine standing together against a pale wall

Re Delle Gandine

Argentinian artist based in Tulum, Mexico

Re Delle Gandine explores wonder, intimacy and transformation through painting. With Italian roots and a long connection to Mexico, he brings a personal, instinctive language to works that invite viewers to look again.

He began painting at the end of 2019, following a period of heartbreak. During lockdown, painting became a way to process loss, and those instinctive marks developed into his visual language. In his inverted works, the image holds two experiences: the abstract surface he creates and a second image revealed through a change in perspective.

Drawing inspiration from the Renaissance and Baroque, he uses Latin titles to connect the ancestral with the contemporary. Technology becomes part of the encounter, revealing another dimension of the painting and inviting the viewer to stay curious.

Representation: Managed and represented by Mandana Karimi through OCD for India and the Middle East.
